This is a woman who felt that the puffiness under her eyes, in the lower eyelid area, made her look tired and sleep deprived. As a result, she consulted with Evans and Augusta, Ga - based Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Achih H. Chen about lower eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty. There are several approaches that Dr. Chen uses to perform lower eyelid surgery, depending on the patient's concerns and goals. This patient had an approach in which a skin incision was made just under the lower eyelashes. This approach called a transcutaneous, subcilliary lower blepharoplasty, also allows removal of excess lower eyelid skin. The post-operative photos were taken at 4 weeks following her procedure by Dr. Achih H. Chen at the Georgia Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, also serving Aiken and Columbia, SC.
