This is a 33 year old man who wanted a more chiseled appearance to his jawline and neckline. After consulting with Evans and Augusta-area Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Achih H. Chen, he underwent placement of a specialized type of square-shaped chin implant that is more square to create a more masculine appearance to his jawline. He also underwent liposuction with submentoplasty to help  better define his neckline. The liposuction helped better define his neckline by removing a small amount of fat that lies just under the neck skin. The submentoplasty was used to remove the fat in the midline of the neck that lies below the platysma muscle, a neck muscle that can sag with age or can bulge if there is underlying fat. In addition, the submentoplasty was used to tighten the platysma muscle to further define this patient's neck. His procedures were performed at the Georgia Center for Facial Plastic Surgery a facility that also serves Aiken, SC and beyond.
